On behalf of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters, the Institute of Catalan Studies, in cooperation with the Catalan Mathematical Society, is proud to host the event “Abel in Barcelona” on January 16, 2017. This is on the occasion of the meeting of the Abel Committee in Barcelona that week.
“Abel in Barcelona” will be the 7th edition of a one-day symposium with lectures aimed at a mathematically educated and interested audience, with the objective of increasing public awareness of mathematics and of the Abel Prize.
